How to use Crop tool in Photoshop

If you want to crop a specific part in the image then you can use this crop tool. First, open the image and then select the tool, you can see cropping options will appear around the image just like transform controls. You can select any part and crop the image like you can select from

  • Top right
  • Center right
  • Bottom right
  • Top center
  • Bottom center
  • Top left
  • Center left
  • Bottom left

In options you can see on right side Ratio then two blank fields you can see where you can put specific area also. When you click on ratio then you can see few drop-down options and these are

  • W x H x Resolution
  • Original ratio
  • 1 : 1 (square)
  • 4 : 5 (8 : 10)
  • 5 : 7
  • 2 : 3 (4 : 6)
  • 16 : 9
  • Front image
  • 4 x 5 in 300 ppi
  • 8.5 x 11 in 300 ppi
  • 1024 x 768 px 92 ppi
  • 1280 x 800 px 113 ppi
  • 1366 x 768 px 135 ppi
  • New crop preset

So you can select one of them and it will crop the image according to the dimension. For instance, if you select 8.5 x 11 in 300 ppi so it will crop according to this dimension.
